Troop 60 Campout June 17th, 2022

Scouts set up their own tents.
They practiced wood tool safety and gathered wood for a fire.
They worked as a team to build a fire.
And learned about fire safety.
Ended the evening with s’mores , star gazing and visiting.
Scouts rose early the next morning to prepare breakfast.
Scouts learned about cooking safety.
Bacon and eggs on the menu.
After breakfast Troop 60 studied basic map-and-compass skills and practiced taking a bearing.
Troop 60 members discussed patrol spirit and chose the Natchitoches Ninjas as a patrol name, designed an emblem and flag, chose a patrol call and started leaning a patrol song that they learned from a Troop 60 member of the 1960s.
