Happy Halloween from BSA

Troop 60 assisted Nicole Connell, District Executive for the Netami District of the Norwela Council at the Natchitoches Witch Way to Main Street this weekend.

Witch way to Main Street is a trick or treat event in the downtown area where organizations and businesses can give away candy and offer fun activities for local youth.

Trick or treaters got candy and were able to play a game that was made by a local boy-scout troop
Scouts entertained the trick or treaters while also being able to share with them the fun of scouting

September 2, 2021- Troop 60 Service Project Hurricane Ida Relief

Troop 60 donated almost $600 worth of food and supplies for victims of Hurricane Ida. The Dawson family transported the items to those in need.

While a Scout should do his best to help other people every day, a group service project is a bigger way to help people. While you’re giving service, you’re learning to work together with others to do something that’s good for your community. — BSA

Scouts worked together to determine how best to maximize the use of the donation made for hurricane Ida relief . They opted for nonperishable food, paper products, personal items and pet food.
They worked together to stay within budget.
They developed a plan before shopping .
