Personal Management, Golf, and the Scoutmaster passes the patch!

Tonight Troop 60 Scouts completed their shared work on the Personal Management merit badge and now just have to complete the homework, tracking income and expenses and intentions to save money.

Jacob then began the Golf merit badge, which will be our focus when we return from Thanksgiving camp (there is no regular Troop meeting next Thursday).

Finally, Sarah gave her last official Scoutmaster Minute, thanking the Scouts for allowing her to witness their development over the last 5 years into leaders, campers, hikers, and kind, compassionate young people. Thank you!

November 14th meeting

Troop 60 welcomed a new Scout tonight! SPL lead the Troop through the packing list for this weekend’s Winter Camp outing; participating scout families should be in contact with ASM Nick regarding logistics and arrival/departure times.

Tonight is the final meeting of November (there will be no regular meeting next week: Happy Thanksgiving!).

Eagle Scouts and New Scouts!

Tonight Troop 60 was excited to welcome Bo, Jacob, and Tripp from Pack 20 to our meeting. These Webelos Scouts will be transitioning into Troop 60 soon. Jacob led a discussion of the differences between Cub Scouts and BSA, the youth leadership structure, and the rank advancement steps toward Eagle.

Troop 60’s newest Eagle Scouts were also honored with the presentation of Eagle Scout walking sticks. These sticks are custom hand-made and personalized for each Eagle Scout to include dates, advancements, and merit badges specific their accomplishments. They are beautiful keepsakes to mark their Eagle forever.

Happy Halloween! Troop 60 Celebrates

The Troop enjoyed a visit from Netami DE Neal, who joined the discussions about types of bank accounts and product warranties (his shared wisdom about carpet cleaning machines is unforgettable).
