Troop 60 Scouts and their supporters celebrated a very special Court of Honor June 27th: 12 youth received recognition in the Troop, having earned 7 rank advancements, 61 merit badges, and 10 Eagle Palms since the December CoH. 4 Life Scouts advanced in the process of earning Eagle and 3 attained their Eagle Scout rank and celebrated their Eagle advancement last night!
Stephen Wheat, Caleb Martinez, and John Martinez received their Eagle Rank medallions and awards and thanked their parents and other supporters for all their help on their Eagle trails, inspiring other Scouts to follow their lead and renew their Scout spirit.
Statistics show that only 4% of BSA Scouts attain the rank of Eagle Scout: these three young men have joined the small, worthy number of BSA youth who have achieved the highest rank of Eagle, and Troop 60 is so proud of their many accomplishments! In order to earn Eagle, each of these young men has completed more than 300 different requirements and truly embody the Scout Oath, Law, and Motto. They have shown they can rise to the great responsibilities of Eagle with dedication, honor, and genuine leadership. CONGRATULATIONS STEPHEN, CALEB, and JOHN!
Troop 60 will be on break until school returns in August. Have a lovely summer!
