Last night Troop 60 members and guests celebrated Griffin’s achievement of Eagle Scout rank at his Eagle Court of Honor!
Griffin was recognized for his many accomplishments in Scouting, and he recognized the many people who have helped him on his trail to Eagle, including his parents and mentors in Scouting. He gave an inspiring speech about the ways he has grown since he joined as a Cub Scout and encouraged his fellow Scouts to persist on their paths toward Eagle rank.
Then we all enjoyed a lovely reception.
Congratulations to Griffin! Eagle is a life-long honor.
Please note that this weekend is busy with service opportunities! On Saturday morning, we are meeting at Marthaville School for Eagle Service Projects, which require Life Scouts to lead others: please attend! On Saturday at 2 we have the chance to help the Friends of the Library with their book sale clean-up, and they need help loading up boxes of books that don’t sell. On Sunday at 7:30am is the Methodist Men’s Breakfast featuring Troop 60, so please come in Class A to talk about what Scouting means to you. MM is very supportive of our Troop, so let’s make the effort to talk about Troop 60. After the breakfast we will all meet back out at Marthaville School for more Eagle Project work.
