Today members of Troop 60 presented the colors to open the 2019 State Finals of the American Legion Oratorical competition. The oratorical contest participants are faced with an academic speaking challenge that teaches important leadership qualities, the history of US law, the ability to think and speak clearly, and an understanding of the duties, responsibilities, rights, and privileges of American citizenship.

This is the second year that Troop 60 Scouts have presented the flag and led the Pledge of Allegiance at the State Finals.
